Our History

River City Players Community Theatre has been performing musical theatre since 2001. Under the leadership of Amy Perrin and a host of other volunteers, RCP has presented such classics as:  Oklahoma, Wizard of OzMusic Man, Annie Get Your Gun, Bye Bye Birdie, Fiddler on the Roof and Seussical.

The River City Kids, born in 2005 with Cathy Erwin and Margaret Evans at the helm, have presented A Little Princess, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and Fairy Tales.

Also included in the RCP repertoire are several Murder Mysteries, a Melodrama, and several wonderful dinner theatres including:  Irving Berlin:The Melody Lingers On, The USO Show, and Hooray for Hollywood.

If you are interested in becoming involved in a production or would like to become a supporter, please contact a Management Team member, as we are always looking for people who are supportive of the arts and theatre.  RCP's dream is to have our own permanent theatre performance space in the future and we would accept any help and suggestions in making this dream a reality.


Our Mission Statement

RCP strives to provide a wide variety of opportunities for community members of all ages to participate in theatrical and performance activities. We encourage a diverse program of theatrical activities for our community that give us pride in our talent and our community efforts.  It is our goal to sponsor educational activities in many areas of theatre study for community members.  We hope to foster an appreciation of the joys and rewards of the theatre.  It is our commitment to provide affordable theatrical events for our audiences and their families.  We strive to create theatrical events that give our audiences and participants a positive and rewarding experience in the theatre.
